Mentioning Bladerunner

I just did what I usu­ally do in such situ­ations — wave my hands around and men­tion “Bladerunner” a few times.

Yeah, I do this, too.

But soft! This is Gareth L. Powell, and he’s writ­ing about the dif­fi­culty of char­ac­ter­ising his work. It’s a tricky one because sci­ence fic­tion means dif­fer­ent things to dif­fer­ent people.

I haven’t read a huge amount of Gareth’s stuff, but I’d call it spec­u­lat­ive fic­tion.
