As if you aren’t pig-sick of them already…but Roland Hulme, of whom I have blogged, asked me for my thoughts on the writ­ing and edit­ing pro­cess. Here’s my favour­ite bit:

An uned­ited book is like an unpre­pared act­or going on stage; some are tal­en­ted impro­visers, but most will die on their arse.
